Just get a locked phone and unlock it yourself. It can be as easy as entering some numbers.

ebay, but you can also find websites, that will give you unlock codes for your phone, for less than 5 bucks.

also, if you have had the phone from your carrier, for over a year, they will unlock your phone for free.

I'd do amazon or even Tiger Direct before a lot of the places out there. Dont trust that any phone can be unlocked with a code. Do your research first. Example ,There are like 5 different kinds of razors and like 2 cannot be unlocked with codes.
