Any reps higher than supervisor that I can talk to for paypal?

So my neighbor friend went on a scammg spree on ebay. With a negative balance of 497.XX
My personal account had his addy (whole other story) and basically the system saw similarities

They locked my premier account also too. Paypal said I can't do Sh1t unless my friend pays the ammount.

DAMN 🙁

Yeah good thing I didn't have much on both accounts.
Probably emailing the appeals deparatment so they can take their time reviewing it.

ouch, due to paypal's corruptness and fiscal insanity, this is the exact reason why i rarely use it and when i do make sure to keep 0$ on it.

I hope Gmail expands their service. As it is basically saving your CC with gmail and just making purchases.

Yup, sounds about right. With Paypal, all innocent parties suffer while the scammers go scotch free. My last incident was when I disputed a payment because an ebay scammer didn't ship an item after getting paid. Paypal sided with the scammer when he provided a shipment tracking number that shows the item was shipped. That's great and all, but it doesn't show it was shipped to ME nor to MY ADDRESS! Good thing I paid with my credit card so I called my credit card company and explained everything. They reversed the transaction and basically bitched slapped Paypal for not siding with me.

didn't paypal cut you off from their services as you didn't follow procedure by doing a chargeback?

I had to do a chargeback to get money back for an item I never received, never heard from paypal about it, they dont take the chargeback anyway, the seller does.

In my case the guy shipped something somewhere so he had a usps shipper number, after a few weeks he said the item was returned to him for a bad address (B.S.) he didnt want to refund but said he would and he would take his time about it, I got tired of waiting and had Amex handle it for me 😀

Well yeah. Only if he doesn't have a 0 balance and wants to pay paypal doesn't have to eat it=/

In this case, I can see why they aren't bending over backwards to help you. Imagine how it looks from their side - the scammer has another account at the same address, so they are going to freeze everything.

heh i am suprissed it took this long for someone to mentionit.

you really can not blame paypal for this. they hve a scammer with multiple accounts at the address. how can they be sure one is really yours and not him having a 2nd one?

good luck though. personally i would have your "friend" give you the money back.

I don't want to thread crap, but I have to point out your neighborhood friend is a complete tool... I hope he gets busted and ends up paying more than he should... Maybe someone will actually get law enforment on his case.

Good luck on getting your account unfrozen. 🙂

since everyone is doing it. I guess I'll hop in.

My lil bro uses my paypal account. He bought a $50 item off ebay, with $25 shipping. He also used a $5 paypal coupon we got in the mail. Total was $70. The item was never shipped, guy never answered emails, nothing. I do a paypal dispute and they only refund $45.00. They rejected the coupon for some reason, and deducted the $5 from what i was supposed to be refunded, but REFUSED to refund for delivery, and keep in mind the guy showed no proof of anything, accept recieving the money. So yup the scammer got away, and I lost $25.00. Talked on the phone with them..absolutely useless.
