Any recommended titles for this weekend Steam sale?

I'll be honest, I'm not really a fan of Shmups, but I did enjoy older ones from the SNES and PSX era. It seems most shmups are just bullet hells, so I'm curious if there are any hidden gems among those on sale this weekend.

I didn't see any but don't know almost any of them.

But I've been replaying Serious Sam and that's still a hell of a fun 'schmup'.

I grabbed Revolver360 and Crimson Clover. Played a bit of Revolver360 and it is fun (but I enjoy shmups). It has a bit different take on them in that you can rotate the screen (like a tube) to avoid the bigger coverage shots as they appear in 3D space.

Steam is having a sale?

It was on the store page this morning but now it's showing me a Paradox Interactive sale.

Edit: It's still in the sidebar. The sale seems pretty massive, but I get the feeling that most of the games on sale are not worth the few dollars they are charging.

Cities Skylines is a massive deal. Incredible game. Everything SimCity should have become. I run it windowed all day.
