Any recommendations for an Instant Message program for an enterprise.

Interested in a messaging program to use on a large network. Prefer to use something that can be hosted on a Windows machine supporting users with Windows clients. The program needs to be something that we can setup and administer ourselves without hosting on an outside server maintained by a third party. I am aware of the program called jabber that can be hosted on Linux but would like to know if something similar exists for Windows.

Didn't even think about the obvious; thanks for the lead. I wonder if Exchange 2000 Instant Messaging Service can be setup to prevent our users from connecting to users outside of the corporate LAN. Time to do some research...
