i'd like to read one, but the one i got (artificial intelligence: a modern approach, by russell) is kind of... well... boring :p are there any that are a little more vibrant perhaps? like more color pictures and easy-to-understand wording? i know, i'm dumb, but color pictures help keep my interest :p

Let's see. I had one lying around here with some great actoin sequences and explosions if yours is too boring. Lemme see if I can find it...

We used the Russell/Norvig AI book here at UCI. Dry, dry, dry stuff. I stuck it out and just did the assigned reading. It was downright boring, but I can't really see an entertaining way to present all that stuff. Perceptrons and neural nets really aren't that exciting. :D Our teacher was a cool guy and his lectures made the class bearable.

"Do Android Dream of Electric Sheep" Good fiction with the same theme. Later adapted to the movie Blade Runner. Good flick too. Especially when those two girls start kissing...and.........just read the book.
