i'm trying to build a tbird system in the ghz range (at least 1ghz), which i'll probabilly want to overclock a bit. can anyone recommend a good hsf that is not ridiculously priced and doesnt suck? some people told me to get the orb, but after i looked up some info on it, i saw that it's pretty pathetic and huge, any other recommendations?

I got Socket A Athlon 1GHz and KT7A-RAID. I used the stock cooler, and I got a Taisol CGK finally. It is much quiter (cannot hear it inside the case) and It works amazingly well: Stock max: 56-58C Taisol 50-51C max! Idle is about 28-30C room temp 25C.

Do not get the Delta Fan with it!!!! 46dB, you can hear it 2 rooms next!

Taisol 742. If you want a different fan configuration over the quite stock fan, nedsbyte.com sells them with bigger fans. I believe they have 4 different configs available.

FOP32-1. Have 3 Tbird systems, all with FOP32-1. One had the FOP38 but I couldn't take the noise, I changed the fan and turned it into a FOP32-1. I overclock all 3 from 100mhz to 200mhz with no problems.
