Any recommendations for a non-toxic windshield wiper fluid?

The warnings about methanol on the label, namely the "Can not be made non-poisonous!" one, bother me a bit. Using the stuff is about like taking the whole gallon jug of toxic stew and just dumping it out somewhere.

Has anyone here used any non-toxic wiper fluids that would remain liquid below 0C?

Topic Summary: Must be usable in winter too

2 things, don't belong together;

Non-toxic, and washer fluid.

Don't drink it, no problem.

Best stuff I have used,
Rain-x deicer washer fluid.

It works.

it won't hurt anything, you just can't drink it

toxic means toxic for humans to ingest

don't worry about it

lol.. it's just methanol.

It will do no environmental harm.

Maybe if it was dumped by the thousands of gallons into a river or something, but yeah.

Huh. Well, good to know. Guess I jumped the gun.
Further research does say that it lasts anywhere from 4 to 50 days before being broken down by bacteria.

Very well then, disregard thread. :)
