Great Keyboard! I am using an older model but I love it!
Much better than a str8 keyboard and the mouse is great also..(except for gaming of course)

You can type for hours and hours where on regular keyboard I used to get cramps...

I've been using a Microsoft Wireless Natural MultiMedia Keyboard for a couple of years now. It's basically a black wireless ergonomic keyboard. You have to buy it with a mouse in the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro package. I threw away the mouse :p I mainly got the wireless version because I always need that extra inch or two of wire; this solved the problem. Battery life is generally about 8 months. It is split and it does have the vertical home/ins/del keys. I can tell you that you will never get used to the vertical layout, at least if you work on other computers too. I always have to look at the keyboard to use those keys. Other than that, I absolutely love this keyboard.

The other one I'd recommend looking at is the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, also from Microsoft. It's newer and has some nice features like a zoom slider, a forward-tilt rather than the backwards-tilt (towards you), a nice rubberized palm rest, and your much-valued horizontal home/ins/del keys. I'd go with this one if I were you, unless you want wireless. I can't say much about their software, but man Microsoft makes some good hardware.

Any particular reason you don't want a split keyboard?

On the split keyboards, it is more difficult to quickly and accurately hit hotkeys on the right half of the keyboard when I'm gaming.
