need to tape conversation w/ the boss for the union (though 1 union delegate sez don't do it, and another sez it wouldn't hurt even if inadmissable)
 
Although it is illegal without consent of the party being recorded, just about any pda works fine for these types of recording I have found : )
 
there are a ton of chea 3-in-1 mp3 player/pendrive/recorders out there. With minimal searching at Amazon, you should be able to get a 128 mb one for less than $60.
 
remember, though it might not be admissable in court as evidence, why deny your audience the jurors and
other spectators the audio playback from your hip (like ventriloquism)
