So basically I have a 9800gtx. But the temperature of it irritates me... 57c-60c doesnt really sound good.
Can anyone recommend a VGA cooler for that? Thanks.
Coz I am afraid of compatability~ haha so thats why I haven't made my purchase yet.

What's wrong with 60C? That's damn cool for a video card as powerful as the 9800GTX. Are you an eskimo or something?

p.s. if those are IDLE temps then they are not so good. I would use Riva Tuner to lower your clock speeds when not playing games. I drop the clocks on my 8800GT to 350MHz core 700MHz RAM.

oh yes~ of course its idle lol. Thats why I need a new heat sink.
This is the known issue for the 9800gtx.... it will remain in the temperature of 60... thats the thing..

Well you can very easily use Riva Tuner to lower your 2d speeds. You can cut them by half or more if you want.

And what does this gives him? A lower idle temperature maybe, but who cares about idle when the full load is the "heater"!?

Well... when it is under full load... it actually runs cooler for some reason O_O... it runs at 57C
I have done my research. It is a bug. I hope the next driver would fix it.
But ya I still want a heatsink for my 9800gtx >< any other recommandation?
I found out the thermalright heat sink DaQuteness recommended is too huge...
Are there any options for that besides water cooling? Coz I don't really know if other heat sinks are going to be compatible with the 9800GTX
