I am a fairly new user of win2k pro and am looking for some optimization programs for it. The only one I know of is Tweak UI, what else is there? I also need help with a couple of things. First of all, how do you preserve folder custimizatios? Like when you change the properties of a folder (set the icons up in a list and set the window size, etc.) how do you stop it from changing back to the standard view of a folder? Also, does anyone else have a slight problem with win2k pro loading the try icons slow? It loads everything fine when win2k has no programs installe don it, but after i had loaded all my software it has a slight pause before you can start navigating on your desktop.

Set it up the way you want then click Tools->Folder Options. Clcik on the View Tab and select "Like Current Folder". If you want all folders to resemble the way you set this one up, uncheck "Remember Each Folder's View Settings" in the Advanced Settings box.

It takes time to start a program from the hard drive the first time. You can upgrade the hard drive to a faster one but you will still encounter a delay while it loads the startup programs. If you have adaquate memory and just logon and logoff without shutting the computer down W2K using the cache will help some as well.
However upon booting up none of those programs will be in the cache.

As far as Customization goes:
X-Setup is good.
With the items you have running on startup you may want to use Startup Control Panel.
