I personally love it. I've only hear XM when I am getting my hair cut (the place I go has XM). It's ok I guess, but I can't vouch for it too much. I don't think XM has any DJ's, which is one thing I like about Sirius. They don't talk much, but they'll pop on here and there and talk for like 15-30 seconds and then the music will continue.

I think you just need to look at the programming line-ups and see what you like better. Personally, I like the programming that Sirius offers more than XM. I've also paid a year in advance so the price is about the same as XM.

Another feature I like is that they stream the music, so I'm actually staying late at work today to catch up on a few things I'm working on (since I was away for a week) and I'm stream the music over the Internet right now. It's cool to be able to listen to it here. There is no extra charge for this.

I'd probably like XM more.

I hate listening to DJs unless they are talk radio people.

Speaking of Sirius DJs, the one on "Hair Nation" needs to shut the fvck up. That guy rambles on and on and he's such a fvcking dweeb.

OK, I didn't know that. That's cool. Like I said, I haven't heard XM too much, so I can't really speak for it. I was just saying what I heard.

Anubis can probably vouch that it isn't too annoying since it is short (assuming it is the same, which it sounds like)

Is that the guy with the deep voice (sounds black - not being racial or anything) and laughs alot. If so, he is annoying. It could be another station I'm thinking of though...

Naw, this guys sounds like some washed up hippy or wannabe.

I've only heard it during the middle of the day while I'm at the gym. They switch it to Hair Nation from Octane if someone there might get upset over the language on Octane.

I have it. It beats regular radio all to hell.

I have no idea if xm is better, I've never listened to them. Sirius came recomended by a friend, and the price was the same, so thats what I went with.

The DJ's don't talk much, I don't find them annoying. At least on the channels I listen to.

Had Sirius since Oct. '03. Can't stand FM anymore.

Got Sirius over XM because back then they were the only commercial-free music option.
NFL and some college football/basketball is icing on the cake!

Does Sirius or XM offer MLB baseball?? I'm going to Hawaii for 2 months and if I miss the cardinals in the world series, I'm gonna go nuts. And where I'm staying there aren't any TV's...

This one's a toughie.

Both Sirius and XM offer ESPN Radio, but Sirius' website is the only one that mentions carrying the World Series as well as the division and league championship series.

Sirius' ESPN Radio page

However, getting signal in Hawaii with either XM or Sirius could be a problem. Users on Sirius Backstage have reported that Sirius works at certain times of the day there, but XM users can't get a signal at all.

This is probably because Sirius' satellites move in a figure 8 orbit around the US, and XM's are stationary.

EDIT: Fixed links.
