Any recent MBA, MIS, etc.. graduates here?

hows the job market for what you studied?
were you able to land a job prior to or immediately after graduation?

i'll bite.

graduated with two bachelors in may 2002 - MIS and Genetics.

worked two jobs while in school (one waiting tables, the other doing sys admin work for the bio dept for four years). ended up with a 3.3 cum.

two and a half years later, i've only had about a year of work in my field, and 9 months of that was just because of a lucky coincidene. currently working seasonal help desk for HR Block. i don't consider either job the 'start' of my career - i'm still waiting.

so, basically, either i am the worst interviewee ever or the job market in KC just sucks.

I graduated MIS a year ago and am still looking for that first career-builder position, as well. I don't think I interview particularly poorly, I just think there are more young workers than there are entry-level positions (I can think of a handful that are currently looking besides myself).
