Been lookin at a Jabra or maybe a small boom mic one...

Any reccomendations?

I used to use the cheap ear bud style but they fall out easily....

You have the A500, right?

If so, get one with a little button on the cord. If you press it, it automatically activates the voice menu if the phone is inactive.

It will also answer the phone if it rings without you having to open it. It's very useful. 🙂

Edit: Nevermind...you have the Sanyo. I just remembered. Well, it may do that for the Sanyo, too. 🙂

Yea, i definately want one with the button on the cord. I just need to decide which headset i want.

Jabra looks interesting, but i dunno bout it. I'll prolly end up with a plantronics or belkin boom mic.

I've had no problems with the generic over-the-ear ones with the boom mic. They have those triangle plastic thing that fits over the ear. If brand names mean a lot to you, then two of the 4 that I've bought were Plantronics, only because they were the cheapest ones at the store.

I hate the ones with the mic that just dangles by your neck. Most people I see using those end up holding the wire up so the mic is next to their mouths.

I've never had to do that.

I tried the Jabra, and one thing I didn't like about it is that I couldn't stick it in my ear quickly because I had to fumble with the "molded ear plugs" to orient them properly.

I ended up buying a $10 one from radio shack with a lapel mic and a little earbud that I could stick in my ear any way I please. The Jabra did have the button though, which was very nice.

Edit: Oh, and don't bother with the Jabra "no microphone" hands-free sets. Those claims about picking sound up through the vibrations in your head is utter BS. There's a mic built into the earpiece which renders it almost completely useless in wind and picks up a lot of ambient noise.
