any rebel 2000 owners? (slr camera)

sometimes when i take a pic the camera will seem like it will release the shutter then just stay there.(shutter is open) and then the "out of battery" thing will start blinking on the lcd screen. and if i click the button to shoot it will close the shutter. but the film does not advance. i don't know whats wrong but it does this from time to time.

any ideas?

Hmm. That's happened to me once before with my Rebel. Not really sure why it did it. I think it said something in the manual about it being a safety thing to prevent the shutter from screwing itself up.

also seems to only happen when i have film in the camera? (maybe)?
argh this is tiring me out..gonna take a nap..payce.

Just bought my wife a Rebel Ti... haven't seen that one (yet).
