Any reasons for a Radeon...

I think the reason a lot of people consider the G400 slow is because most benchmarks have been done with slower machines. The G400 scales extremely well and I would venture to guess that it can do 32bit high resolution 3d better than any other card of it's generation with fast (> 700Mhz) processing speeds.

Where exactly can I download the latest Radeon drivers?! I assume ATI's "special purpose" drivers are what everyone else calls beta. The most recent I could find on their site are from September 31, on this page:

Are these the most recent?

The 7041s are newer. Try rage3d or rageunderground.
