Any reason to update chipset, USB, network etc. drivers?

I usually update drivers like chipset, USB, network etc. but my current system (Z77 chipset, Ivy Bridge CPU, Windows 7) has been extremely stable, so I am wondering if I should. My motherboard Asus P8Z77 V-pro has many new drivers over the last few months.

Is there any reason to update them?

Sure, if you notice weird issues like USB dropping out, read/write errors, lagging, poor I/O, etc... Sometimes updated drivers will improve performance, usually they're bugfixes for oddball scenarios.

Sometimes chipset drivers can cause conflicts with other drivers, but generally if it works....

I usually install em when I install windows, unless notice that there is something that is obviously wrong I leave it alone.

Example caveats: Chipset drivers are not generally updated, as 'twere. New releases add new chipset files along with the old. MEI may update the GUI while most users just need the driver for HDCP which is rarely updated. Support/operability for previous OS (particularly Vista & XP) may be dropped from recent versions such as RST and HD Graphics, or the latter may not support previous version GPU.
