Any reason to re-boot?

any reason to reboot if the computer has been on for 6 days without a problem? or can i leave it on for as long as it works well?🙂

If your OS is NT, 2k, XP or Linux and its fine I wouldn't worry about it.

98 has a memory leak and you will exp slow downs with out reboots.

If everything is running fine, there is no reason to reboot.

Is there any reason preventing you from rebooting though? It only takes a minute or two at the most, and it does guarantee a "clean" system.

I agree. Only reboot when something craps out. Usually if something in w2k craps out you should definately reboot.

Most problems in Win2K that require a reboot can be fixed by simply logging out and logging back in. The only time a reboot should be needed is if: your working on your computer, a power surge hits, or windows requests it.

Only if there is a sign I should re-boot or for any other valid reasons..

If everything is running OK and I don't have to get inside my computer case at all, I keep it running 24 hours a day constantly.

No reason really.
Just a habit, rebooting every morning unless I have some process that is still running.
