any reason to NOT buy this PSU?

It is no differnt than the 600w in terms of 12v rail amps,I may be wrong but i just bought the 600w one like an hour ago and it seems you can save yourself some money by buying the 600w one
 
It's a kickass unit. I just installed one in a customers' workstation a few days ago.

The 12V power distribution is as follows:

12V1 (Yellow/Blue) - CPU1 (First 4 pins on ATX12V/EPS12V)
12V2 (Yellow/Green) - CPU2 (Last 4 pins) / PCIe-2
12V3 (Yellow) - Motherboard (24 pin) & Peripherals (SATA, 4 pin molex)
12V4 (Yellow/Black) - PCIe-1
 
Nohting wrong with that, my OCZ PowerStream has been the best PSU I've ever had. It has adjustable voltages that can go 10% over the rated values with a turn of a nob. My only complaint is that I can't turn the LED on the fan off (it looks really cool but is hard to sleep with in a dorm) but I'm going to open it up and install a switch; otherwise it's perfect.
 
Well I just got this powersupply and it is terribly loud. I will return it. The fan makes simply too much noise and drowns my other 4 case fans out. My PC is almost silent and this powersupply just ruins it. Will probably go with a Seasonic.

Not true. The 12v ratings you see are the max the psu can provide to "each" rail. It is not the total it will supply. The 700w unit can still provide 100w more to 12v than the 600w unit can (the 3.3/5v rails on this unit are the same).

You might want to check monarchcomputers. I bought the 700w yesterday and they have it for a bit cheaper than newegg. I posted the deal yesterday in the hotdeal forums. Anyways this psu is suppose to be top rated and everything i read on it is very very good. I don't think you could choose a much better psu than this one.
 
my GXS700 is loud also. i had to get a NeoHE 550 to make things quiet again, plus it was on sale 😀. other than that, its a great psu.
