Any reason to buy Atom N280 over N270

I'm aware of the basic difference

1.6 vs 1.66
533fsb vs. 677

Other then this minor difference, is there any reason why someone buying a new netbook would want to go with the N280 processor as oppose to the N270?

I believe that the 280 also uses less power, 2w instead of 2.4w.

actually that is the TDP values. TDP means "To/thermal Dissipate power"... which is a measurement of the size of heatsink recommended for manufactures making custom boards or fans.
Realistically their power consumptions should be pretty close to each other. if one is 1.9 and the other is 2.1 it could result in such a figure.

So what's the verdict?

I believe they are the same and I never recall a little fsb making any "noticeable" difference when doing everyday work. anyone disagree or would go with the N280?

If I was buying today, I would get this: http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668268.php

1.2ghz AMD 64 processor and WXGA LCD. It is a bit on the expensive side, but it should be a lot better than an atom based netbook.

If you want atom, ya, go with the 270

That does look good drizek but how do the two cup's compare? I couldn't find any side by side comparison. These netbook cup's are slow as it is so dropping from 1.66mhz to 1.2 is a huge step backwards, even though the amd runs on 800mhz memory, it's not enough to make up for the cpu difference.

The whole point is that the AMD CPU isn't a netbook CPU, it is a regular laptop CPU. It will blow the atom out of the water according to what I have read. It is basically the same as the ULV Pentium Ms that intel used to make at this clock speed.
