Any reason not to use a generic Radio Shack AC adapter?

Like the title says, I'm wondering if there's any point to buying an AC adapter specifically designed for a given laptop. Would it be any problem just going to Radio Shack and buying an adapter with the same specs as the original and getting the appropriate sized plug?
