Any reason not to join T-Mobile Hotspot for wifi connectivity?

I have a new job where I work out of the house but I have to spend several days a week in NYC. I do not have an office in the city, so I was thinking of joining T-Mobile's hotspot program so I could use my laptop at any Starbucks office.

Does this sound like a good idea? $30 per month for unlimited access. If there another program I should consider please let me know. Thanks!
