I know I've got my eye on that new MSI system... but I just found a nice sale on the SK41G here in Canada. That's pretty rare.
$380CDN brand new = ~$250US.

So... short of newer and better toys on the way, is there any reason NOT to go for it? Technical difficulties? Deficiencies? Noise? Bad cooling? Unless that MSI system is coming out soon and isn't too much more, I shouldn't turn down such a good deal. :p

EDIT: It seems to get consitently lower CPU scores across the board.... at least when compared to nForce2 and KT333... I wonder why that is? :(

When is a deal not a deal.....

Shuttle is not a motherboard manufacturer that I associate with quality. Don't skimp on anything as critical as the motherboard because it can make or break your system.

So far we've got two guys saying "Shuttle sucks" yet Shuttle is pretty much responsible for a LOT of the SFF mainboards out there. I AM talking about a Shuttle XPC "cube" here...

Chyang Fun sucks even worse with a long AGP card blocking the RAM slot!

So, short of "Shuttle sucks", how about a GOOD reason to go or not to go with a Shuttle SK41G - the older one, but $100US cheaper than the nForce2 model. ($100 would get a nice video upgrade that would outperform the MX-440.....)
