Any reason at all to install all the language updates?

I recently installed Win 7 and the Update on Microsoft's website has 34 language packs available for install. Any reason to install these? How do "hide" them so they won't show anymore? Thanks.

Personally, I don't install the language packs.

Well, I install the 5-language pack version (or whatever), however...

I do install all the 'obligatory' fonts. I hate it when I'm doing a Google Search and garbage comes up in the results.

How do you test for 'necessary' fonts?!?!?

I use this page...

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html (Firefox | International Versions)

If all the descriptions display correctly, you've got it pegged!

On this workstation, the only missing font is Sinhala (and I can live with that)... 😀

Er...

Not sure what you mean by "hide them". Can you rephrase that question?

No. Hide them by selecting all of them and left clicking, then click on "hide". If you need them again theres a "restore hidden updates" button in windows update.
