My friend has an offer to Raytheon that expires tomorrow, she's been trying to get a hold of the HR rep and the hiring manager to get an extension but she hasn't gotten a call back. She left a message on Monday and Tuesday but still no luck.

I was wondering if someone can get on the Raytheon directory and to get their manager's contact info.

thanks in adv. much much appreciated!!

i get the feeling that if she doesn't respond within their time limit, they won't want her anyway...

No, I don't think so, I've gotten extensions when I've told them that I have a couple of interviews lined up and would like to make a decisions after those interviews. I guess they're more understanding towards recent grads.

Are you a enemy combatant trying to social engineer your way into obtaining internal Raytheon employee's personal info?

Whoever gives you that info is committing a security violation.

I'm curious, if she has an offer, why not just take the job? Also, if you left a message with HR, that should suffice.

If it's for the job making little chips in Dallas, it sounded really boring to me.

Raytheon is a huge company. They have offices/locations in just about every state and a lot of countries. I think that you need to narrow your targeted field by giving a location at the very least. Maybe then someone could help you without feeling like they are "aiding the enemy". ;)

Your "friend" had interviews with these people and didn't get a business card while she was there?

Tell her to take the job. Raytheon is awesome.

She's holding off for an interview with another co. that pays higher and is closer to home, nor cal.

nope, apparently none of the people in raytheon carry business cards ... she only got their email addresses. I told her to email them by 2pm today if she still can't get a hold of anyone ...

cause it's prob. easier and better to talk to the HR rep or the hiring mgr on the phone versus sending an email out to all the people that you interviewed with.

bummer no help from at :(

They are playing hard ball, I bet they got the email and just want to ignore her until she made up her mind.

That happens, she has to either accept it or take a risk.

From one of their websites:

SAS Headquarters
2000 East El Segundo Blvd.
El Segundo, CA 90245
U.S.A

To contact the phone operator:
310.647.1000

SAS = Space and Airborne Systems division of Raytheon

Ask the receptionist/operator to connect you/her to HR

pandabear: that's what I figured, the offer is not bad, and the salary is comparable to the bayarea. Guess she has to decide soon :)

sygyzy: thanks! :) pm if you have any luck!
