Any radeon problems out there?

I want a Radeon AIW for my next card. Still haven't decided on my new MoBo though. Has anyone had any problems with the Radeons? I've heard of a few driver glitches, but nothing substantial. Any coments?

Is anyone running their Radeon on an Abit KT7? Can anyone do mpeg2 capture with their AMD cpu + Radeon VIVO or AIW, or is this impossible?

Thanks!
Brad

so far all is fine at 225/205 (core/mem) no snow no artifacts no nothing (and all is stock, no extra cooling). except try this, run LX R8R from madonion, mine ran extremely choppy for some reason. My TNT ran it silky smooth . Radeon 32DDR by the way.

Mustang, I've read that it's better with the Radeon to keep core and mem the same when overclocking. Is that not true for you?

Either way, that's pretty impressive.

What version of powerstrip are you running?

I've read the same thing. ATI Says that the memory cannot be overclocked higher than the core speed. It can be using Powerstrip, but the results were much better setting the core & memory at the same speed.

I ran the LX R8R or whatever demo at 1280 and it was great (64 MB). I don't have any problems with the card either, though I am not running an Athlon system (VIA board though). And someone at www.rageunderground.com 's forum said that even if your core speed is higher than the memory's on Powerstrip, it doesn't make a difference as when the core is the same as the memory (what technonut said basically).

GOD DAMN IT! problem problem! i burned up my RADEON i guess that 225/205 was too high? i turned on my pc today morning and it gave me checkerboard screen with patches of blue squares!. i was using powerstrip 2.75.04 damn it i dont get it! it was all fine last night! i tried my TNT again to see if it was my MB or bad connection, nope all was fine with that. Seeing that screen instantly from bootup meant that its not drivers.. i think i messed it up. i went and got an exchange but this Radeon sucks! i can only clock it up to 185/185 if i go like 205 (using my old settings) there is too much snowing. Oh and on XL-R8R how do i change the resolution and color (16bit or 32 bit) thanx... damn i can't believe i messed up a good Radeon!... argggg that 205 gave me 65+ fps on highest quality with 1280-1024! but still i love my Radeon.. but ill have to live with my mistake.. that's odd i ran it at 225.205 for hours and it was ok but today that problem just wont go away (ive tried to pull it and reinsert many times). oh well.. i guess i pushed it too far.:frown:
