Where my girlfriend lives, there were 120 instances of cars having their windows shot out. When the police were talking to my girlfriends family, they said that the attacks were only happening to minorities. I'm guessing its in response to Obama getting elected.

My girlfriend is asian and most of the other victims were hispanic. So this is racism in general, not just anti-black hate.

No, nothing bad around me, though the police have a pretty large presence in the area, thanks to Obama's home being 1 block away as well as the dual-police coverage provided by the University of Chicago Police as well as the CPD.

I found 3 news reports, none mention any racial trend. I find it hard to believe the media wouldn't be all over a racial aspect.

also, the reports seem to indicate the majority were done overnight when parked, so I don't see a large number of minorities parking SUVs in the "white area of town"

Her family and some of the minorities in the area get vandalized a few times a year. This kind of stuff is nothing new, but 120 all at once is weird.
