Pics. Not asking for pics of her, although some would be a bonus. But do take a lot of pics, since it is the biggest event of your highschool years.

He's taking her to the prom, not courting her.

Just relax and have a good time. Don't make it into a huge ordeal. Plan all pre/post prom events well, and plan for contingencies. Ease things up by going with other friends in a group.

Get a hotel room, get drunk, and have sex. It is what I did both Junior and Senior prom. I had fun.
 
Just do what you normally do. Don't try to do anything artificial (though certainly don't go around acting obnoxious either). Make sure you don't forget anything beforehand (corsage, reservations for dinner, etc.) And don't worry about making a total fool of yourself (not that I'm advocating this, but don't be worried about it), you only get one night to do it so go out there and have some fun.
 
Biggest tip: Don't ask for prom tips on ATOT.

Have fun, treat her nicely, and go hang out with friends (from both your groups of friends) afterwards at a restaraunt or something. The goofing off with friends before and after was the only worthwhile part of prom for me. The actual being-at-dance was just kinda whatever.
