My poor stretching skillz and bad running technique has given me a shin splint on my left leg.

Has anybody else gotten one and gotten rid of it quickly? Help me! :(

anti-inflammatories and RICE (Rest,Ice,Compression,Elevation)

could be a problem with your shoe arch support and your feet.

Amputate.

I don't think there are any quick fixes. Just rest and heal yourself.

Suck it up little gurl!!! :D

Have you tried taping? That and ibuprofen are the short-term fix. In the long run you might want something better.

Aputation WILL work. A shopping cart wheel is a good lower-leg replacement.

I got mine in 1983 with the Army. We ran 4 miles everyday in boots.
They still bother me if I have to walk down hill for any length of time. We went to Crater Lake, Oregon 2 weeks ago and walked down and back up from the lake. The next 2 days were painful.

Is that the one with the smaller mountain/crater in the middle of the lake? My roommate went to Oregon for the summer a few years and brought back a picture of a large body of water with another mountain in the middle of the lake, and I thought he called it Crater Lake.

I plan on visiting Oregon pretty soon just from what I saw of his pictures.

His is a topo map of Wizard Island in Crater Lake. It isn't a smaller crater in the middle of the lake, that's for sure.

Wizard Island - You can expand the map and zoom out to get a better view of the area.

Yep, that's it. He's actually got a poster of Wizard Island, and it makes it look as though it's in the middle of the lake.

That's an awesome picture too.
