Yes there is, South shore has one that I know of. North shore has a pay to enter beach called Sand Harbor that's very nice, you can even get a very good burger for a fair price. I'm sure there are many others as well.

Pretty much no. Any easily accessed beach is either going to be a state recreation area and charge for parking/admission, PACKED with people, or both.

Going to sleep in your car again?

I've got a couple of female friends who will be sleeping in my car. I'm going to be sleeping out on the beach or something. I'll have no problem finding a great, scenic sleeping spot, but I want them to be at least close to the beach / able to see the water from my car. I'd hate to have them sleep in the car in a boring old parking lot.

They would be more comfortable sleeping on the sand or a small foam mattress than in the vehicle. Get a tent or netting if worried about bugs.

FBB, don't you have a tent in your car? just set up a tent on the sand and sleep with them in the tent, ftw.

At night, who cares? Since you're not getting laid by either of them, double who cares.
