Any programs to fix print colors?

my printer is totally whacked and prints like crap. the alignment and stuff is fine and black and white is of course no problem, but it does a fine job of butchering beautiful pictures and turning them into hideous beasts. the problem is that the color is off, and all bright red stuff will print all pink and the rest of the picture looks bad too compared to whats on my screen. My printer is an HP Deskjet 720c if anyone has that. im not expecting exceptional quality, but realistically the printer should at least get the colors correct. Also it used to look much better.

and yes i have tried the printer tools and stuff that came with the printer. they fix the alignment and stuff, but that doesnt help.

thanx any help appreciated.

Your monitor needs to be color calibrated with something like Adobe Gamma (comes with photoshop)...Try turning down brightness

Are you sure it's not just one kind of color ink running out? Color printers use 3 colors of ink only, and print all other colors by mixing and matching these 3 colors... if one color has run out, the effects you described will occur... Just check and make sure that's not the case...
