Any problems with mounting a hard drive upside-down?

I am just curious if it had any negative impact on the motor, spinning, and bearing as well as will it degrade the hard drive over time if i do this.

Upside down as in | or flipped and _
Because some manufacturers (Dell) sometimes mount hard drives | in their prebuilt systems.

No, seagate specifically state that drive orientation is irrelevant to performace, i haven't checked the others but i'd be very surprised if they were different.

No. It used to a very long time ago with drives with stepper motors but not now.
You can mount it upsidedown, sideways or vertically.
