Any problems with a RAID 1 w/ Maxtor 740X 80 gig & WD800BB?

I have two 80 gig 7200 rpm drives, one Maxtor 740x and a Western Digital WD800BB. I was planning on mirroring them with RAID 1 on a Promise Fasttrack 66. I know the drives are slightly different, and my question is should I go ahead and try this our should I go purchase another HD to match either one above. If so, which one is the better drive?

Anybody want to trade? 🙂

You cant mirror them together. The drives have to match exactly for you to be able to mirror them together. Personally I'd take the Western Digital drive over the Maxtor because Ive had bad experiences iwth Maxtor but alot of people seem to flip flop either way with that.
