Any problem with AD 1985 6 Channel Codec

I'm getting an Asus mobo with on board sound listed as "AD 1985 6 Channel Codec". I've seen reports here with problems with AC'97 on board sound. I'm not picky about sound and as long as it works w/o prblem (no weird noises, no conflict) I'm happy to use it and not buy a sound card.
