Any prob mixing a 512mb stick w/two 256mb sticks of PC2100 on Shuttle AK35GTR?

Firstly:

1. The Shuttle AK35GTR has FOUR (4) DIMM slots
2. Per Shuttle as long as you populate up to three, but not four slots, you DO NOT need Registered memory
3. I am currently running the most aggressive timings, but not overclocking

The above things are facts. That said, do you see any problem mixing "different size" sticks? I've never done this before. It's always been 128 + 128 or 256 + 256 in any PC I've had. Thanks very much; w/memory prices fluctuating and mostly dropping daily, 1GB of memory may soon be a reality! 😀

i don't see any problem with that. however i'm no expert. my friend has done this before: had a stick of 256mb in there and then added a stick of 512.
