Firstly:
1. The Shuttle AK35GTR has FOUR (4) DIMM slots
2. Per Shuttle as long as you populate up to three, but not four slots, you DO NOT need Registered memory
3. I am currently running the most aggressive timings, but not overclocking
The above things are facts. That said, do you see any problem mixing "different size" sticks? I've never done this before. It's always been 128 + 128 or 256 + 256 in any PC I've had. Thanks very much; w/memory prices fluctuating and mostly dropping daily, 1GB of memory may soon be a reality! 😀
