Anyone recommend a good song where les just goes crazy on the bass? I need to sample some of it. I have jerry was a racecar drive already, and most of the seas of cheese album too in the song. Laquer head is a good example of the bass riffs I am looking for.

Thanks. :p

primus sucks! :p

actually, they rule but they like it when their fans say they suck. i never heard lacquer head. is that a good song?

i like tommy the cat, esp the live version. check out his other work with the band sausage, and if you like ozzy check out the song NIB.

les claypool plays some cool, funky riffs. but they are really weird too. you might want to check out other bass players like stu hamm, geddy lee, billy sheehan, and my favorite victor wooten.

Kalamazoo off the Brown Album has some cool bass work. Larry's guitar work in that song is really fun.

BTW, their website is PrimusSucks.com

Les tends to "go off" more live than on the Cd tracks, which makes the album Suck on This great.

Also the Cheesy home Video is great if you can find it.

gets the live version of Tommy the Cat, it has a couple of good bass solos, a drum solo and some guitar solos. Can't remember what album that was, it was the one with all the covers on it.

Is It Luck off Seas of Cheese has some wicked crazy bass.

Les Claypool is one of my bass playing idols.

Primus sucks.

Ground Hog's Day off Frizzle Fry is some of the best bass playing of all time.

this'll be a fine day...
