I wonder what the next paranoid frenzy the Whitehouse will decide to whip into the American Public in order to preemptively strike next?

It was all Osama bashing for awhile, then all of a sudden, slowly but surely, the media starts with its "Is Saddam connected?". All preparation for the bullhorn rhetoric Bush would start spewing, and then the snowball gained momentum. Next thing you know, 3/4 of society (and Apparently Anandtech) is convinced Saddam is behind 9/11, that he's out to get us (more so than North Korea or umpteen Arab countries) and a preemptive strike is necessary to save America from disaster. All without ANY showing off proof to the American public. This is an exercise in social control for all the world to see. Wake up, my fellow Americans! Stop allowing your justifiable hatred of a bad man to justify another's smokescreen! This is what the Mullahs do! They point to the US as the devil, and the morons all bow.
Fascism is NOT patriotism! Your sons and daughters are being sent on the grounds of "rock hard evidence" you have never seen!
 
The next frenzy is Canada and how "the cold air from Canada" is freezing America on those cold days. We've all heard it..."A cold front down from Canada". Well it won't be long before the US invades to take over Canadian weather patterns.

pssh, you'd be losing so much of the good stuff of N. America if you nuked us. ATI, television comedians, and..... ok, that's about the only good things to come out of Canada.

And that oh-so-great exchange rate that lets us come over to your country and buy stuff dirt cheap and bring it back into the US. Canada: Land of Cheap Beer and Cheap Consumer Goods 😛
