any precautions one should take before removing a processor?

So im about to separate the processor from the motherboard, and I was wondering if there were any precautions I should take before doing that - like how a bare processor should be stored maybe.

Remove the heatsink, lift the locking lever, pull out the processor, place it pins-up on a soft sturdy surface until ready for storage.

Place it in an anti-static bag and set it somewhere safe.

Shut down the computer first and remove the power cord.

to make sure the proc will seperate from the heatsink easy run the comp under load for a short while.

use device manager and uninstall the proc from sys before shutdown and install the proc you will use when restart.

store between two sheets of soft foam and tape lightly.
