Any points for a parking ticket?

I got one from my highschool! I was parked out in a line with some other cars. I was late that day and remember hearing in the anoucments that we couldnt park in front of the auditormium, I gave it a quick eye and i was still outside of the auditorium edge. When I come back to my car my car was the only one with a ticket on it in the whole line! @#$(&*

I'm probably going in tuesday to talk to the parking guy about it and hopefully get out of it. But if not would I get any points? $40 isnt that big of a deal, just the points!

I don't think so. If it did, I'm in the crapper too. Last weekend I walked out to my car to see 2 tickets on there. My parking permit expired and I forgot about it. I dorm so I haven't used my car for a week so then 2 got on there.

No, no points. As far as I know, you also don't get any points if you get caught by camera running a red light, just a fine. In both cases, there is no way to prove who committed the violation, so they can only impose a fine on the owner of the vehicle as it is their responsibility.

yup. you don't get points if you come back and find any tickets, parking, fix-it, etc.

$40!!! from your high school? that's rough...i've never received a parking ticket over 25, even one i refused to pay when they upped it to 35. what school do you goto? i've been to a couple colleges in michigan and that ticket price is just wrong...did your school sell out to ticketmaster or something?

The school i went to, if you got a ticket, all they did was say you had to go to detention or lunch duty crap like that, no fine...

also...im doubtful that you would get points on your driving record if its a high school police issued ticket, that doesnt seem 'legal' to me, unless your local pd did give you the ticket, ask em about that

No its the guy from school, but he gets to write out county pd tickets, his name is on it.
