Any players out there for .ram and .rm files other than Real Audio?

Are the .rm and .ram formats really so secret that nobody has a third party player for these file types? I absolutely hate real audio, but some sites only offer media in their format. Anybody know of an alternative, or at least a place for the rules of their language so i can try to start making my own player?

Jetaudio will play them. I can't remember if you still need Real Player installed though.

There is a plugin for Winamp that plays them.

I tried it. It's alright for audio files, but video files play in a nondockable and separate borderless window, and you have to juggle windows around like a contortionist just to watch a video. It annoyed me, so I uninstalled it.
