Just looking for someone who has Photoshop and can work over some overexposed shots (~5) so they're usable. Willing to pay you a small fee via Paypal for your services.

Wanna post some of the shots so we can determine if they're salvageable?

Sure, they're here. Just wanted to share with my brother-in-law since his daughter is in them as well. If they're too blown out then knowing that is fine also.

You should play with it yourself in Gimp. I just toyed with one, and made it look better to my eyes.

This was a one button fix. You could spend a lot of time tweaking it out, but it's better after a single button press.

Here's my take on one of em. Do you happen to have the raw files for these?

EDIT: meh I edited this on my dim laptop screen. I just saw it on my work monitor and my desktop, looks way too bright.

Hay-zues criss-toe some of you need to put down the photoshop and step away. He didn't ask you to change the kids' ethnicity.

There's only so much you can do with overexposed pictures. What is a field of pure white will stay a field of pure white. It's usually easier to find some slightly 'hidden' data in a dark picture- in a bright one, it's just not there.

Here's the best I could come up with after a couple minutes of seeing how far I could 'push' the levels.

Technically, those are not overexposed. Unless your subject matter was the sky :awe:

But yeah, if there are raw files, it might be possible to salvage with less loss of detail.

Load, press auto-tone, save. Load, press auto-tone, save.

...you can batch that.

But no, it doesn't get it as close. You could probably set the levels on one, save a profile, and batch the loading of that, though.

If you wanna pay someone, pay skorpio. He's the only one who got it right. Sorry, agent11, decreasing brightness and/or lightness is not the trick.

My colors were still better, though. :p

Retry on my color calibrated PVA screen. I find warmer colors to bring out the sunshine more. :)

lol

I suggest you look closer.

I started by copying the picture, desaturated and adjusted the levels and contrast, pasted the original over as a color layer. Then pasted another layer as a color adjustment layer.

You cannot push the levels too far without getting artifacts and having color issues.

Don't want any money though. Only took a few minutes.

Well, you made a dark picture of negro children.

Stick to one layer. Don't desaturate. Pay attention to your gray point.
