Any Phantasm fans here (the movie)

Boy!

The first is the best, but the others are fun too. Too bad Angus Scrimm has gone on to another plane so there probably won't be a Phantasm V.

Reggie Bannister has a bit part in Bubba Ho-tep as the rest home administrator.

Sacrelige! A shiny metal orb is now headed in your direction. It will only hurt for a minute 🙂

The expansion pack for Monolith's Blood 2 was fun, one of the added weapons was the sphere.

Richard Kiel could play the tall man...with a bite!

Yes the movie rocks. I saw it in the theater in '79 and it was great. Looks laughable now on the dvd, but that's just a combination of bad transfer and well it's a 70's film.

OTOH, The Wall looks great for being the same age.

Cheers!

Phantasm was terrible. Laughable, even. I mean, I can look past the cheesy effects if there's a storyline that can be followed or acting that's somewhat pallatable. Phantasm had none of that. I mean look at Friday the 13th. That came out in 1980 and it still sends chills up my spine, so it isn't just the age. I'd say Phantasm scared me about as much as Amityville 2.
