If animals can eat other animals, why can't we eat animals too?
Not trying to start a flameware, honest, I'm just curious to the response of this question from a PETA supporting vegetarian.

I figure vegetarians are just too stupid to eat chicken wings.
But hunting chickens is easy.Originally posted by: NTB

No, no, no. Everybody knows that "vegetarian" is an old Indian word meaning "lousy hunter"

Have you ever chased a chicken? I think not.. Most people would give up at chasing chickens, I mean chickens, domesticated animals, aren't exactly 'easy' to chase.Originally posted by: SampSon

Chickens are dumb as rocks. They come to food and you hit them with a bat. Or you corner them and pick them up.Originally posted by: goku

I stand corrected, but anyways for most people I would say killing a chicken wouldn't exactly be 'easy'.

Animals do eat other animals but we don't have to and we can make the decision to not eat meat.
If I were to become a vegetarian my reason would be environmental. Meat, especially red meat, uses up huge amounts of resources (water, energy) in comparison to plants. So, we can make the decision to not eat meat in order to conserve resources.
I've cut out red meats for the most part and only eat meat once a week or so. I doubt I'll ever be a full fledged vegetarian though.
