My question is about switches.

I'm looking for a DPDT switch for my joystick I am building.

On my previous ones the switch mounted in a 1/4" hole, however on my new casing which I have, the mounting hole is 24mm.

I was wondering if anyone knows where (if at all) I can find a 24mm DPDT switch.

The point of the switch is to switch the joystick from working on PS3 and Xbox360, and the switch has 6 pins total. 2 for PS3, 2 for Xbox360, and 2 going to the main cable that is being switched to.

But I'm sure you already knew this if you read this far cause that is what a DPDT switch is heh. The one I have is just a little switch that goes left/right. I am open to suggestions to other types (like a knob or somethin) as long as it can fit in a 24mm diameter hole.

I know this is a long shot, but thanks if you can help!

Cut a circle of some material ~30mm in diameter, put a 1/4" hole in the middle, fasten it to the 24mm hole with screws, use old switch?

I don't think there are many DPDT toggle switches that need a 1" hole.

yea from my google search far, neither do i.

i was wondering if maybe there was one that was that size and was kind of like a knob that you turn 90 degrees and it toggles between the 2 stages.

if worse comes to worse, i'm going to do what you were saying. i just want it to look as nice as i can because the case is very nice.

Looking for a toggle or a rocker?

was preferring a toggle, however if doesn't have to be. i just would like it to fit as close to possible as it can in a 24mm diameter hole.

Ah ok i see.

the thing is, is that the hole it is going in is countersunk into the wood. i want to put it in the middle of the 3 holes at the top here ...

those holes are 24.3mm in diamter, and i'm pretty sure the diameter of the countersunk hole is like 27mm, so i think that one will work fine :)

thanks man! i'm going to see if I can find it somewhere in the states or possibly b&m somewhere. i don't think places like radioshack sell that though heh.
