Any passat owners here?

Thinking about replacing my car with a VW Passat (6 cyl one). How's that car from the comfort standpoint? What about sportiness?

I had a 2002 Passat GLX (I think it was a GLX, not sure) Turbocharged 4 cylinder. Bought it new. It was a POS. Constant recalls and all sorts of random troubles. A new car should not break down on you constantly.

Passats are nice, but if I was paying that type of money, I'd go with an Audi. If you still insist on a Passat, try and find a W8. Awesome car and engine.

I drive a 99' 1.8t manual. I like it.

I have a 99 passat. I ADORE it.

I have a v6 stick shift and i swear to God that when I hit the gas, it is like being on a roller coaster, the way our heads snap back. Powerful little thing, it is. Plus, it has good handling, is nice and smooth to drive and going over the eleventy billion potholes in NJ doesnt hurt at all.

It is a really reliable car... and I thank God for that, because parts are a bit pricey.

Mine has an interference engine, so changing the timing belt is a must... whether you think it needs it or not... every 100,000 or so.

Passat and audi have the exact same engine parts, but they are cheaper for the passat then they are for the audi.
