Any particular reason to upgrade from KT266A to KT333?

I've got a Shuttle AK31 v3.1 KT266A board, and with the prices of several KT333 boards being so low (the Shuttle AK35GT2 being the lowest at $73, less than what I boguht my current board for), I was wondering if there was any particular reason to grab one.

I don't have DDR333 memory, and I don't want to drop the cash to pick it up, but are there any tangible benefits to the KT333 other than the memory bandwidth the Athlon can't even use?

Not worth it. You only get 2 to 3% increase in performance when using DDR333 memory in the KT333 boards if it is even noticed.

Eh, that's what I thought. The only thing I was really worried about is Thoroughbred compatibility, and that doesn't seem to be a problem with many boards out there right now. Thanks for the input, guess I can spend that $73 on something else. :)

I have the Shuttle AK35GTR board and am waiting for the faster T-Bred (or Barton) to come out AND the KT400.

But Shuttle has been a great board, love the Raid and the 5.1 C-Media sound.
