Any others here that never hang out with freinds?

Okay...


Its late and I am bored.. so I come to Anandtech off topic for wisdom
and entertainment on such a night.


I am Male and 41 and never hang out with freinds... ever.
I havent done so in about 15 years.
I dont even have freinds to be honest, although I consider some of my co-workers
to be freinds we dont hang out after work.

I am married with 2 kids and work full time. Between juggling all of that I just dont
have time to hang out or for company.
I am in the process of moving back to my old neighborhood... so for kicks I looked
up someone I knew since I was a kid and spent a night drinking and hanging out.
That was fun for old times sake. Then... the guy started showing up at my house
wanting to party... and I dont have time for that. I put up with it a few times then I
got angry and told him to go away and never come back... I couldnt take it.
I feel kinda bad about it.. but damn... I am a family man.


Anybody else never ever hang out, or am I the only one?

I bought a fast car....but I try to hang out with friends as much as possible. I do go quite a while where i wanted to see nobody.

Try to find some "family man" friends...it'll do you some good.

Sucks that you got pissed and told him to never come back. You could have at least explained to him that you're busy and "need time apart." heh. Or just that you can't party CONSTANTLY seeing as you have a family. No reason to be stuck in all the time just because you have a family. My mother is turning... eh 39 this year. She plays in two soccer leagues and take dance classes occasionally with her friends. She's a book-keeper/accountant so she tends to work 50hr weeks. Just start making it a priority to get together with your friends once a month or something.

i couldnt stand a life without friends. it'd be so...dull. life's about making memories. i'm not gonna live a life of repetition to the point where i'd be doing the same old sh!t for 20 yrs straight.
