Any Other X-Fi Reviews?

Has anyone spotted any other X-Fi reviews in the wild and if so, where? Am considering purchasing one for my imminent new PC but Tom's review is so far up Creative's behind that it's hard to get a real feel for the product.

Or that's my opinion anyway...

Is Anandtech going to release a review at any point and if so, do we know when?

So unless you get the real expensive ones the basic card aint gonna do squat. I think i'll stick with my Audigy 2 ZS for a while longer.

The exta RAM doesn't provide any meaningful benefit at least at this time, so unless you need the front panel for input the $129 card would be able to give you most of the benefits that the more expensive ones offer. You have to go from $279> $400 in order to get higher quality DACs, which is ridiculous.

Waiting isn't a bad idea, however. I really want to try out the headphone virtual surround though.

The $129 card seems to be a good deal, and will most likely be cheaper in the coming weeks once OEM cards come out and hot deals are made. Also, by the time any games come out that will take advantage of the X-RAM the higher end cards offer, those cards will most likely be MUCH cheaper.

yea but you guys are forgetting that creative is promising that this card will make mp3s sound better than its predecessors and that is something that i would like to hear for myself with my z5500s. Also the promise of it utilizing less cpu usage is pretty nice too.
