So I got home Saturday evening and my computer was off, which is strange since I rarely shut it off. hit the power button and nothing... Turns out the PSU (Antec 1kw) is dead, tested it with a replacement and it fired the fans up, so I went and bought a temp replacement from bestbuy, some 850w black widow something or another. After some playing around I get to to boot. Great, right? Not so much, Sunday morning I wake up and.. Nothing, the fans spin up but no video. I thought the PSU might not have enough power(amps) to run everything so I end up unplugging devices until I have a single video card and the motherboard/cpu power only and still nothing. I've also tried using just 1 stick of RAM in the first slot, both channels, different sticks in the first slot etc with no avail. I've already ordered a 3280/mobo/ram/PSU but wanted to see if there was anything else I could do to try to keep this setup up and running.

Setup:
i7 950
6GB DDR3 1600 ( I think)
GTX460 x2
Patriot wildfire SSD

I can't really suggest anything else to try but I can tell you that you are way overspeccing your PSUs. A decent 650w unit will run that system overclocked with SLI'd 460s

Oh actually might be a long shot but have you tried pulling the CMOS and holding the power button on the case for 30 seconds before replacing it? Small chance it could clear any fault that has developed due to the power loss.
