So do you mean like Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, NOFX, Less Than Jake type stuff?

No.

So what you really meant to ask was "Any other hardcore punk listeners?"
I don't enjoy hardcore punk.

Less than jake is Ska. Sex pistols blaaah. NOFX has gotten to preachy. Old BR still kicks ass.

DOA, SNFU, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat...old school all the way.

Did you ever listen to the Maximium Rock and roll compilation entitled " Not to quite on the Western Front"

Old school listener (Pistols, Clash, Stranglers, X-Ray Specs, Buzzcocks, Wire, Siouxsie and the Banshees)

In fact I've got tickets to see Gang of Four next week pinned to my cubicle.

No. The only comp I ever had was Rat Music for Rat People. I still have some of the tapes around. We had some local bands that were equal to DK, Minor Threat and early Black Flag.

Fat Mike ( I assume you know who he is) helped put together this CD called " Rock against Bush" .It was a bunch of PUNK/HC bands, proceeds were to go to the punkvoter campaign. Well they invited this band Propaghandi to be on the comp.Propaghandi by the way is pretty legend. However on Propghandi's track they also included some material that was also anti-MoveOn.org.Fat Mike did not like this and so kicked them off the Cd. Thats ultimate Shens.

How was Siouxsie considered punk? I'd say they fall in the same genre as the Cure.

The Bro Hymn is by far my fav pennywise song of all time.

Yep, classic song!

From Pennywise I like.. well, most of them, hehe. Except for the last two CD's, I don't they evolved musically, just lyrically. Their stuff sounds just the same as it did 10 years ago.

yes

i'm not into their politics but i do like some of the bands, which makes the album tempting. but i'm not putting money into "politcal punk" so i've passed so far.

interesting. i'd never seen the 2nd vol til today. rather than a bunch of political songs like the first, it just seems to be a punk comp. drunken lullabies? unity? there's nothing that screams punk like "do it again, this time for the money!"
